Company Overview: We are recruiting experienced Pipelayer Operatives for the HS2 high-speed rail project in the Banbury area. This provides long‑term work on one of the UK’s most prestigious civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Laying and joining various types of pipework (e.g. drainage, ducting, water mains).
- Trenching, backfilling, and ensuring correct gradients and alignment.
- Working to engineering drawings and method statements.
- Ensuring pipe bedding and surrounds are installed to specification.
- Collaborating closely with Groundworkers, Plant Operators, and Supervisors.
- Maintaining high safety and quality standards throughout all operations.
Requirements
- Valid CSCS card (Blue Skilled Worker preferred)
- Proven experience in pipelaying within a civil engineering or infrastructure environment.
- Strong understanding of drainage systems and utility installation practices.
- Ability to work in confined spaces or deep excavations when required.
- Full UK Driving Licence – essential due to site access limitations.
- Confined Spaces training or certification.
- Dumper/Roller or other CPCS/NPORS plant tickets.
- Previous experience working on HS2 or large-scale infrastructure projects.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, with weekend availability as required by the project.
