McGinley is currently recruiting for a Skilled Port Plant Bootcamp programme in partnership with On Point trac starting in Liverpool 08/06/26. This comprehensive 4-week course is your gateway to a thriving career in ports, offering:

  • Guaranteed Job Opportunity
  • Payloader / Forklift
  • Health and safety level 1
  • Full PPE Provided
  • ISPS card
  • Manual Handling and Emergency First Aid Training
  • City and guilds medium risk confined space
  • Drug and Alcohol test

After completing the course, eligible candidates will be placed in real work placements with McGinley on Peel ports Liverpool. Training is face to face and will be held at On Point trac, St Helens WA11 7JR. If transport is required, you will need to make your way to Headbolt lane train station. This course will be unpaid, but upon completion participants are guaranteed a job opportunity after passing a final plant assessment at the port with an expected starting pay of £12.64 to £14 per hour.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be 19 years or older.
  • Must have lived in the UK for 3+ years.
  • Must have valid photo ID.
  • Must have right to work.
  • Must not have attended any other bootcamp since 1st of April 2025.
