We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Technician/Supervisor with over 10 years of hands-on experience in air conditioning and refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems across commercial and industrial environments. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, safety protocols, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation units.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults for HVAC systems.
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently.
- Read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide timely solutions.
- Collaborate with other trades and contractors on-site as needed.
Required Qualifications & Certifications
- 10+ years of experience in HVAC, air conditioning, and refrigeration.
- City & Guilds Level 3 in Heating & Ventilation.
- F-Gas Certification (Category 1).
- SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme).
- First Aid at Work certified.
- Manual Handling trained.
- Working at Height & Harness Training.
- Fire Marshall certified.
- Abrasive Wheels trained.
- IPAF 3a, 3b (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms).
- Full UK Driving License.
Desirable Skills
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with BMS (Building Management Systems) is a plus.
