We are seeking an experienced Earthworks Supervisor to join our team working on large-scale infrastructure projects across the UK.
The Role
You will be responsible for overseeing all earthworks operations on site, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification. This is a hands-on supervisory role managing teams, plant, and subcontractors on major civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day earthworks activities (cut & fill, excavation, grading)
- Manage site teams, plant operators, and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations
- Monitor progress and report to senior management
- Coordinate materials, machinery, and labour
- Maintain quality standards in line with project specifications
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Earthworks Supervisor or similar role
- Strong background in civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification
- Good leadership and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and plans
- Full UK driving licence
