This job in Edinburgh with Aver Chartered Accountants - a highly respected firm of chartered accountants and business advisors - is an outstanding opportunity for an accountant or professionally qualified individual with prior relevant experience of, or a genuine interest, in forensics, to develop their career in this field. The firm offers a full range of forensic, insolvency and corporate recovery services to clients across the UK and is widely recognised by fellow practitioners as offering a “best in class” approach and network.
As a Forensic Accounting Manager, you will be an integral member of the team and be involved in all aspects of forensic accounting where your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Working closely with the expert/appointee
- Involvement in all stages of the preparation of forensic accounting work and managing resources to meet deadlines
- Overseeing/undertaking documentation reviews / data analysis and implementing further investigations as required
- Drafting of the forensic report
- Attendance at meetings with Counsel and Clients as appropriate
- Taking the lead on court-appointed Judicial Factories as and when necessary
- Working closely with the insolvency team in relation to investigations/litigation/realisation in insolvency cases or other such financial assignments
To be successful, it is envisaged that you will be a fully qualified accountant (CA/ACCA) or otherwise professionally qualified individual who is looking to make a move into forensic accounting/financial investigations. Salary and benefits package is commensurate with experience and background, but we anticipate appointing at the £50-60,000 + Benefits level. Flexible/hybrid/part time working may also be available.
