The Lobster Pot Pub and Restaurant in Blackness on Sea is seeking an accomplished General Manager to lead our multi-award winning venue into its next stage of success. This is an opportunity for a high-calibre hospitality leader to take ownership of a business with a strong reputation, loyal customer base and real potential for continued growth.

Reporting into the owners, the General Manager will be responsible for leading the full pub and restaurant operation, creating outstanding guest experiences, developing a strong and motivated team, and delivering commercial performance in line with the venue’s ambitions. The successful candidate will combine operational excellence with a visible leadership style and a genuine passion for hospitality.

Key areas of focus:
  • Leading day-to-day operations across all areas of the business
  • Delivering exceptional service standards and a consistently strong guest experience
  • Coaching, developing and inspiring the team
  • Driving sales, profitability and cost control
  • Maintaining excellent standards of compliance, presentation and operational discipline
  • Supporting the long-term growth and reputation of the venue
About you:
  • You have a strong track record in senior hospitality management
  • You are commercially astute and operationally strong
  • You lead from the front and bring energy, professionalism and consistency
  • You are confident building team capability and holding high standards
  • You understand the importance of community reputation, guest loyalty and quality delivery
  • You hold a current Personal Licence and have a full and clean driving licence with access to your own vehicle
