Location: Birmingham

Salary: Open to negotiation

Working Hours: 07:30 – 12:30, 13:00 – 16:00hrs (Monday to Thursday) 07:30 – 12:00hrs (Friday) - (Part time working also available)

McGeoch Technology Ltd is a well-established and expanding manufacturing company based in Birmingham.

Responsibilities:

Working within the Quality department, reporting to the Quality Manager, the H&S Advisor is responsible for McGeoch Technology Ltd Statutory and Regulatory Compliance. You will be required to monitor compliance and where outputs do not achieve the input requirements, challenge the status quo, create positive change, and ensure customer and business goals, objectives and targets are achieved.

You will be required to ensure we have Health & Safety System and functional statutory and regulatory compliance; and to enable performance improvement.

Skills & Competency Requirements:

  • Person: You will be constantly required to interact with business leaders. You will therefore need to possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport from the very first meeting. Strong listening skills and attentiveness is essential.
  • Communication: You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Conflict Resolution and Problem Solving: Your ability to identify the problem and solve it before it affects organisational productivity is central to the H&S function.
  • Core Capabilities: Time-management, leadership, conflict resolution is all part of the job. To always act with integrity and honesty in the best interests of the business.
  • Experience: Significant experience post qualification of HSE working within a high integrity Design, Machining, Fabrication, Welding, Paint, Electrical, Mechanical, Assembly & Test facility.
  • Other: BPSS & NNPPI cleared.
  • Qualifications: NEBOSH Certified Practitioner. ISO 14001 Certified Auditor.

Holidays: 33 Days (25 days plus 8 Bank Holidays).

You must be a British National with no Dual Nationality due to site security requirements.
