McGeoch Technology Ltd. is a well-established and expanding manufacturing company based in Birmingham and due to their current projected growth, they are now looking to recruit for the position of Order Picker and Stock Control Operative. The successful applicant will be based at our client's production facility in Birmingham City Centre.
The Role
Reporting to the Logistics Manager and as part of the Logistics team, you will be responsible for:
- Kitting products using works orders according to a bill of materials.
- Carrying out daily stocktakes to ensure stock accuracy.
- Kitting shortages for production.
- Issuing kits to production.
- Supporting the despatch area with packing, booking out stock and liaising with couriers.
- Ability to manually handle heavy goods.
- Liaising with assembly team leaders on products required.
- Being comfortable with standing for long periods of time.
- Experience in fast paced environments.
- Ability to measure using tools such as tape measures or verniers.
- Always maintaining high working standards and working in a neat and conscientious manner.
- Ensuring all appropriate paperwork is completed according to standard operating procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Good time management skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Be able to work within a team and on own initiative.
- PPE is required to be worn at all times including safety boots and bump cap.
Holidays
25 Days holiday; a combination of floating days and compulsory factory shutdown over Christmas period. All Bank Holidays.
