Who Are We?
We are McGee, a specialist engineering contractor with a reputation for designing and delivering some of London’s most complex and innovative civil engineering projects. To name just a few: Constructing Europe’s deepest habitable basement, The Londoner Hotel; delivering the impossible at Claridge’s Hotel’s mega basement; and more recently, designing out 88% of The Acre’s embodied carbon of the temporary works. We provide a value-based integrated approach, focusing on quality and innovation. We develop smart engineering solutions to complex problems and methods of working that enable fast delivery with safety and quality by design. We operate a risk-based approach in everything that we do, identifying and mitigating risks through our planning. We complement this with our in-house supply chain, self-delivery philosophy, and support services. We have technical and operational specialists within each of our core disciplines, including an in-house Construction Engineering team (CET), providing temporary works sequences, solution design, and digital modelling.
The Role:
Digital and information management are a core function within our business. Our processes are aligned to ISO 19650 and the Golden Thread requirements of the Building Safety Act, ensuring robust, compliant, and high-quality information delivery across all projects. We are now looking for an Information Manager to play a vital role within our Information & Compliance function, working closely with Engineering, Quality, and IT teams, as well as Preconstruction, Project Delivery, the Construction Engineering Team (CET), and Clients.
Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain and manage the Common Data Environment (CDE), including project setup and compliance
- Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 19650 and Golden Thread requirements
- Lead document control and as-built information management
- Coordinate BIM and digital information delivery with the Lead Digital Engineer
- Manage quality data capture systems (Trimble Field View) and integrate with the CDE
- Act as the primary point of contact for information management systems and platforms
- Deliver training on information management processes and systems
About You:
- Proven experience in an Information Management, Digital Engineering or BIM-related role within a construction or engineering environment
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 19650, Common Data Environments, and the Golden Thread requirements of the Building Safety Act
- Experience managing document control and as-built information across multiple projects
- Confidence working with CDE and quality platforms such as Trimble Viewpoint, Trimble Connect, and Trimble Field View (or equivalent systems)
- Ability to develop and implement information management processes, procedures, and workflows
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to work effectively with project teams, clients, and external partners
- A proactive, organised approach with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and compliance
- Confident communicator, comfortable delivering training and supporting teams in the use of digital systems
