The Role: Based at our Head Office in Southbank, next to Blackfriars Bridge, this role is central to the smooth running of our office environment. You will be the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and colleagues - creating a professional, friendly, and positive experience from the moment people walk through the door. This role would suit someone who enjoys working with people, is comfortable managing multiple priorities, and takes pride in being organised and proactive.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Reception & Switchboard
- Answer incoming calls and direct them to the correct person or team
- Manage the switchboard in a polite and professional manner
- Welcome visitors and clients, ensuring a friendly and professional first impression
- Keep the reception area clean, tidy, and organised
- Book and set up meeting rooms (refreshments, basic AV setup, room layout)
- Prepare spaces for meetings and tidy up afterwards
- Support new starters with basic setup (e.g., showing them around, preparing desks)
- Gather HR documents and assist the HR team with coordinating onboarding & HR paperwork for any new starters
- Handle post, deliveries, and couriers
- Help with filing, scanning, and basic data entry
- Order and restock office supplies when needed
- Support the team with general admin tasks
This role would be Monday to Friday in our Head Office – SE1 9PG. Office Hours are 8am to 5pm.
About You: Previous receptionist or front-of-house experience would be beneficial but is not essential. What is important for us is finding someone who is:
- Friendly, professional, and approachable
- Organised with good attention to detail
- Confident communicating in person and over the phone
- Reliable, punctual, and proactive
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- A positive team player with a willingness to learn
