Role Description
We currently have 2 vacancies in the following departments:
- Residential Conveyancing
- Family Law
These are full-time, on-site roles for a Legal Secretary based in Barnard Castle. The Legal Secretary will be responsible for legal document preparation, assisting legal professionals, performing clerical tasks, and managing schedules and appointments. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, managing office correspondence, and providing administrative and organizational support to ensure smooth daily operations within the firm.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of legal procedures, Law, and Legal Assistants tasks preferred but not essential
- Experience in Legal Document Preparation and familiarity with legal terminology preferred but not essential
- Proficiency in Clerical Skills, such as typing, filing, and correspondence management.
- Effective Diary Management skills, including scheduling and maintaining appointments.
- Excellent organization and time management abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with legal software and office tools is advantageous and a willingness to learn the software.
