Seeking an experienced Mechanical Technical Lead to strengthen our technical leadership within Mechanical, Plumbing and Fire Protection, driving innovation, consistency and excellence across our building services projects. The role will sit at the heart of our technical strategy, supporting design teams, enhancing standards, and ensuring our solutions remain progressive, compliant and commercially robust.
The Role
- Lead technical development and research initiatives across mechanical building services.
- Oversee and continuously improve design standards, technical guidance and best practice.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert in mechanical, plumbing and fire protection systems.
- Support complex projects with high-level technical input and peer review.
- Drive sustainable and low-carbon design innovation aligned with industry best practice.
- Mentor and support engineers across multiple offices.
- Collaborate with Directors and Associates to shape technical strategy and service growth.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong consultancy background in mechanical building services.
- Proven experience in a senior or technical leadership role.
- Deep knowledge of HVAC, public health, and fire protection systems.
- Strong understanding of UK regulations, British Standards and industry guidance.
- Passion for innovation, quality assurance and technical development.
- Chartered status (CEng) or working towards it preferred.
