We are currently working with a well-established contractor seeking an experienced Design Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will oversee the design process from pre-construction to project completion, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective, and timely project delivery. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Duties Include:
- Manage the design process from concept through to completion, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors to coordinate design information.
- Review and manage design documentation, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project specifications.
- Identify and resolve design-related issues, working proactively to mitigate risks.
- Ensure all designs comply with current building regulations, health and safety requirements, and industry standards.
- Support pre-construction and tender teams by providing design input and feasibility analysis.
- Oversee technical submissions, approvals, and design change management.
- Coordinate with procurement and construction teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
- Drive innovation and best practices in design to enhance project efficiency and quality.
Requiremen ts:
- A degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years\’ experience in design management within the interior fit-out sector.
- Strong knowledge of fit-out processes, materials, and industry regulations.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Suite.
- Experience liaising with multiple stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-driven approach.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
