Key Responsibilities- Supervising Procurement Operations: Oversee the procurement team, ensuring efficient acquisition of goods and services while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
- Develop Procurement strategies: Assist in creating and implementing a procurement strategy that aligns with organisational goals and objectives.
- Negotiate Contracts: Assist in negotiations with suppliers to secure favourable terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Monitor Performance: Set performance goals for the procurement team and monitor KPIs to assess effectiveness and identify areas of improvement.
- Cost Saving Initiatives: Identify and implement costâsaving opportunities while mitigating supply risks and ensuring highâquality products and services.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Evaluate supplier performance, conduct regular reviews, and foster longâterm partnerships to enhance procurement processes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues and departmental managers to understand their needs and provide timely and costâeffective procurement solutions.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed about market trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that may impact procurement activities.
- Operational Compliance & ISO Auditing & Certification: Work closely with colleagues ensuring companywide compliance with the 4 ISO management standards; support preparation for audits and renewal of certifications. Ensure all employees are equipped with the appropriate uniform/PPE/tools.
- Beneficial â A Business Management or Supply Chain Management degree.
- Experience â Proven experience in procurement or supply chain, with a track record of leading teams and working on sourcing projects.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to work collaboratively across departments. Excellent negotiation skills are essential.
- Must Have: A handsâon approach; this is not a delegationâonly role, you must be prepared to get stuck in. The ability to work at pace, the passion and drive to develop your own skills and career, and be prepared to pick up additional tasks to support the business where required.
