Are you an experienced quality and compliance professional looking to take ownership of apprenticeship provision within a high-performing, award-winning training academy? We are recruiting for a driven, detail-focused Quality & Compliance Manager to join our Training & Development team. This is a key role responsible for ensuring our apprenticeship and technical training programmes meet the highest standards of quality, compliance and regulatory excellence.

What is the role?

This is a pivotal role where you will work with the Head of Training & Development to drive programme quality, compliance and audit readiness across our apprenticeship and technical training provision. You will lead on the SAR and QIP, driving continuous improvement and ensuring we are always Ofsted-ready. You will oversee key quality processes including OTLA, standardisation and internal verification, ensuring consistency and high standards across all programmes. You will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with DfE/DWP funding rules, managing learner documentation and ILR compliance from onboarding through to completion, and maintaining robust audit trails across all programmes. Alongside apprenticeships, you will also oversee compliance for regulatory and mandatory training for our engineers, ensuring certifications, records and systems are accurate, up to date and audit-ready. You will manage core data systems and trackers, ensuring trainers have access to accurate, real-time information and that performance is clearly reported through governance forums. You will act as the main point of contact for awarding bodies, leading on audits and ensuring all requirements are met to the highest standard.

What we are looking for in a candidate:

  • Proven experience of Apprenticeship compliance, AAF and ILR Management
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted and DfE/DWP funding requirements
  • Experience of Ofsted Frameworks and developing a SAR and QIP
  • Experience managing IQA/IV and quality assurance processes
  • Experience of OTLA Frameworks and developing delivery staff
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
  • A confident problem solver who can identify risks and implement solutions
  • Strong data and reporting capability
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A positive, hands-on approach with a focus on quality
  • Experience working with awarding bodies (e.g. City & Guilds, ILM, LCL) is highly desirable
