We’re looking for a dynamic Head of HR (12mFTC) to join a fast‑scaling fintech platform business undergoing significant transformation across technology, operations, and people. This is a pivotal leadership role for someone who thrives in pace, ambiguity, and growth - and who can build structure, rhythm, and culture as the organisation evolves.

You’ll work closely with the executive team and senior leaders to embed strong people governance, drive organisational readiness, and shape a modern, scalable People function.

The Opportunity

As Head of HR, you will lead the People function through a period of strategic change, ensuring the business has the talent, culture, and frameworks needed to scale effectively. You’ll be responsible for embedding governance, supporting SMCR obligations, and partnering with Compliance and Legal to ensure the organisation is operating with clarity, accountability, and confidence. You’ll oversee a team of certified and SMF‑aligned colleagues (approx. 10 people), ensuring the right structures, processes, and behaviours are in place as the business grows.

What You’ll Lead

  • People Leadership & Governance
    • Lead the People function, embedding strong governance and supporting SMCR requirements
    • Partner with Compliance to ensure accountability frameworks are understood and operational
    • Support senior leaders in building a high‑performance, high‑trust culture
  • European Expansion & Organisational Readiness
    • Spearhead people strategy across Europe, including recruitment, onboarding, and readiness for new jurisdictions
    • Partner with leaders in Ireland to support hiring, employment law, and operational setup
    • Work closely with Legal, regional leads, and NEDs to ensure smooth expansion
  • Talent, Recruitment & Workforce Planning
    • Lead recruitment efforts across key markets, including senior hires
    • Build talent pools and succession plans to support long‑term growth
    • Implement scalable processes for onboarding, payroll, and people operations
  • Location & Workplace Strategy
    • Shape and deliver a location strategy for ~90 employees, ensuring the workplace supports collaboration and growth
    • Address space constraints and future office requirements, including London considerations
  • Hybrid Working & Culture
    • Develop and embed a hybrid working playbook that drives collaboration, communication, and team cohesion
    • Encourage a culture of presence, connection, and shared ownership
    • Support managers in leading hybrid teams effectively

What You Bring

  • Senior HR leadership experience in a fintech, platform, or fast‑moving tech environment
  • Strong understanding of governance, regulatory frameworks, and SMCR
  • Experience supporting multi‑jurisdictional teams, ideally across Europe
  • Proven ability to build structure in scaling organisations
  • A confident, people‑first leadership style with the ability to challenge, influence, and partner at exec level
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and driving clarity through change

Why This Role Matters

This is a rare opportunity to step into a business at a defining moment — with new technology leadership arriving, operational transformation underway, and a people strategy ready to be shaped. You’ll have the autonomy to build, influence, and lead a function that underpins the company’s next stage of growth. If you’re energised by scale‑ups, complexity, and the chance to leave a lasting mark on culture and capability, this role offers exactly that.
