Senior Product Manager - Edinburgh based

We're looking for someone who lives at the intersection of product and code. You'll work directly with product and engineering to frame the problem, design the flows, then prototype, build, and polish the experiences.

Here is the situation.

From the outside, people services look simple: onboarding that just works, performance processes that feel fair, policies that make sense, and answers that appear when colleagues need them. But behind the scenes, HR is a maze of workflows, exceptions, legacy systems, compliance requirements and human moments that matter. We’re looking for a product leader who can step into that complexity and bring clarity, structure and momentum - someone who sees people services not as administrative tasks, but as products that deserve thoughtful design, continuous improvement and technical craft.

In this role, you’ll become the connective tissue between People, Technology, Data, Risk and Operations. You’ll spend time understanding how things really work today: the messy inputs, the friction points, the gaps between what colleagues expect and what the current systems deliver. You’ll map journeys, diagnose problems and frame opportunities with the same rigour you’d apply to any product domain. And when the picture is clear, you’ll turn insight into action - shaping direction, prioritising the right problems and driving delivery from discovery through to adoption.

You’ll design experiences that make complex HR processes feel simple and intuitive. Sometimes that means rethinking a workflow from the ground up; other times it means prototyping a new interaction, building a lightweight tool, or using automation or AI to remove manual effort. You’ll move quickly, validating ideas early and reducing delivery risk through rapid prototyping. You’ll work closely with engineers and technical partners, translating needs into clear requirements and ensuring what gets built truly solves the problem. You’ll care deeply about quality - not just in the pixels or interactions, but in the logic, the data, the controls and the operational reality behind the interface.

Delivery is at the heart of this role. You’ll manage the detail, keep momentum, and make sure improvements land well across the organisation. You’ll create the artefacts that bring clarity, the communication that builds confidence, and the feedback loops that ensure new services stick. You’ll measure outcomes, track adoption and iterate quickly, using data to understand what’s working and where to go next. Over time, you’ll help establish People Product as a trusted capability - a way of working that brings structure, focus and continuous improvement to the People team.

This is a unique role and huge opportunity!! I look forward to discussing further with you.
