We are currently recruiting for a leading engineering business who are seeking to recruit a Senior Fabricator (TIG). This role is a senior position where alongside carrying out TIG Fabrication, you will be responsible for mentoring junior engineers and apprentices. This is a great role with fantastic career progression on offer.

Core Responsibilities of the role:

  • To operate TIG welding equipment
  • Fabricate parts as per engineering drawings
  • Identify fabrication defects and take corrective action promptly
  • Operate all workshop machinery and tools safely and in accordance with company procedures
  • Prioritise workloads and assist supervisors in planning shop workflow
  • Support continuous improvement and enhance turnaround times, quality and team performance
  • Mentor junior fabricators and pipefitters in correct fabrication techniques

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous proven experience in TIG welding (5 years)
  • Experience mentoring junior staff and supporting their technical development within a fabrication environment
  • Ideally you will have a Fabrication qualification
