We are currently recruiting for a leading engineering business who are seeking to recruit a Senior Fabricator (TIG). This role is a senior position where alongside carrying out TIG Fabrication, you will be responsible for mentoring junior engineers and apprentices. This is a great role with fantastic career progression on offer.
Core Responsibilities of the role:
- To operate TIG welding equipment
- Fabricate parts as per engineering drawings
- Identify fabrication defects and take corrective action promptly
- Operate all workshop machinery and tools safely and in accordance with company procedures
- Prioritise workloads and assist supervisors in planning shop workflow
- Support continuous improvement and enhance turnaround times, quality and team performance
- Mentor junior fabricators and pipefitters in correct fabrication techniques
Essential Criteria:
- Previous proven experience in TIG welding (5 years)
- Experience mentoring junior staff and supporting their technical development within a fabrication environment
- Ideally you will have a Fabrication qualification
