An exciting opportunity with a successful manufacturing business has become available. We are working with a leading manufacturing business who are looking for a Senior Buyer to join their team. The successful candidate will work with the aftersales department ensuring parts and components required for the business are available.

The Role
- Source for various parts, components and materials
- Negotiate prices and lead times for products and secure favourable terms for the business
- Liaise with suppliers and schedule deliveries according to production schedule
- Ensure all specification requirements are met for purchased products
- Develop, improve and build strong supplier relationships
- Monitor supplier performance and address any reoccurring issues
- Involved in various cost saving projects for the business
- Reviewing part and component usage and adjust min and max stock holdings
- Other relevant duties
Essential Criteria
- A minimum of 3 years + experience in a purchasing / procurement role
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- The ability to work both alone and as part of a team
- Previous experience in working with a MRP system
- Willingness to learn and develop skills
