Payroll Assistant

We are currently working with a repeat client of in the local area in helping them recruit for a Payroll Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will join a successful and growing business and join a busy payroll department with an employer who offer a wide variety of employee benefits including a competitive salary, flexible and hybrid working hours and an early finish on a Friday.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Process client payroll information accurately
  • Producing payroll reports for clients and liaise with management regarding any issues
  • Maintaining payroll processing system
  • Investigate and resolve any time sheet discrepancies
  • Deal with queries and resolve issues quickly and efficiently
  • Keep up to date with payroll legislation changes and any other information that may effect payroll processing
  • Ensuring smooth and efficient administration of pensions
  • Other relevant duties

The successful candidate must have:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position
  • Payroll or accounts qualification
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A positive attitude towards work
  • The ability to work to deadlines
