Our client, a leading manufacturing and engineering company who specialise in providing precise, innovative, and cost-effective products to fit any complex requirements are in search of a Quality Engineer to join their team based in Newry. Our client has state of the art facilities and a long service team who are expanding their product range.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all products and processes achieve the desired quality, safety, efficiency, and reliability levels
  • Responsible for carrying out Quality inspections, reducing waste and improving manufacturing
  • Support continuous improvement activities e.g., 8D reviews, corrective action plans, Kaizen events
  • Auditing of Quality process within Production, Stores and Order Processing and admin functions.
  • Recording of Non-Conformances
  • Provide technical and problem-solving advice regarding materials and production systems
  • Facilitate timely response to open customer issues, ensure internal and external documentation is produced and maintained in response

The successful candidate will have:

  • 2 years experience in Quality Engineering
  • Degree educated in an engineering / technical discipline with experience in applying problem-solving techniques in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent customer-facing skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
