Our client, a successful engineering company, is currently recruiting for a Production Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will have proven experience within engineering and manufacturing and experience in managing a team.

The Role:
- Plan manufacturing and dispatch of product to ensure customer requirements are met
- Resolve problems within the production workshop
- Ensure any quality issues are resolved and implement changes to procedures if required
- Work with the production team to plan and execute continuous improvement activities
- Advise Senior Management of resource requirements
- Appraise the team's performance and provide support to them to ensure targets are being met
- Monitor production cost and spend to ensure budgets are not exceeded
- Responsible for leading and managing the production team
- Promote high standards for quality of work
- Ensure safe working practices are followed and work with the Health and Safety team to implement changes and procedures when required
- Any other duties, within reason and capability, as agreed with the Senior Managers
Essential Criteria:
- Excellent knowledge within engineering and manufacturing
- At least 3 years experience in a supervisory role within manufacturing engineering
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- A highly motivated attitude
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good organisation and planning skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritise, plan and allocate workload
