Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Promote Health & Safety in the workplace, displaying excellent personal safety and challenging others when unsafe behaviour is observed.
  • Ensure that behaviour is in accordance with the company Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Manage and facilitate health and safety activities in a manner that ensures all statutory and company requirements are achieved and maintained in support of the business objectives.
  • Lead health and safety, driving tangible improvements in safety performance and culture.
  • Coordinate the investigation and management of incidents (including major incidents) alongside a recent NEBOSH qualified colleague, providing advice on root cause, prevention and sharing lessons learned.
  • Lead internal Health & Safety auditing and complete audits (where required) to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Develop SHEQ Policies and Procedures and deploy these throughout the site.
  • Maintain and monitor H&S Training matrix and schedule within the team.
  • Identify gaps in compliance and develop roadmaps to drive closure of identified items through the team.
  • Manage SHEQ improvement projects.
  • Oversee and drive SHEQ improvement projects in conjunction with key stakeholders.

What you will need:

  • Proven track record working within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures.
  • NEBOSH or equivalent qualification.
