Role Summary: Reporting to the Operations Director and European Quality Director, the Quality Manager will play a key role within the operational leadership team. Leading a team of quality engineers and quality control inspectors, the Quality Manager will drive a culture of continuous improvement, ensure robust quality processes are embedded throughout operations, and support the delivery of safe, compliant, and high-quality products to customers. This role is crucial to maintaining operational excellence and strengthening the company’s reputation for quality.

Main Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of quality engineers and quality inspectors to deliver products in line with customer expectations.
- Champion best in class quality standards and in partnership with management, drive improvements to all quality related metrics.
- Analyse and report on quality performance, identifying trends and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee the inspection and audit work of the quality teams to ensure that inspections & audits are carried out as scheduled, ensuring appropriate resources and controls are in place.
- Maintain and improve our quality management system ISO 13485, with appropriate quality procedures, standards and processes & maintenance of certification.
- Provide active support to New Product Development (NPD) projects to ensure quality integration from concept to launch.
- Liaise with regulatory/statutory bodies, ensuring compliance in line with statute and industry regulations.
- Ensure compliance through regular audits and inspections.
- Liaising with statutory bodies managing ISO 13485 audits and ensuring closure of any actions that might arise from Audits.
- Achieving key quality KPIs and objectives.
- Maintain key relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Criteria:
- Relevant 3rd Level Education in an Engineering / Science / Quality related field.
- Previous experience of Quality Management Systems & Internal Auditing experience of ISO13485.
- Minimum of 3 years experience, preference within a manufacturing setting, quality department.
- Proven track record of making quality and compliance decisions applying regulatory requirements and sound judgement.
- Previous people management experience.
- Highly organised, detail conscious and meticulous planning skills.
- Articulate communicator who can easily build & establish rapport with people.
- Proven track record of people management.
- IT literate including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Desirable Criteria:
- Membership of relevant professional body.
- Experience of using key APQP tools (PFMEA, PPAP, MSA).
- Extensive Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
- New Product introduction.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes including plastics & metal fabrication.
- Experience of SAGE or other ERP system.
