Lead Design Engineer My client a leading global engineer company in the Tyrone area due to continued success are recruiting a Lead Design engineer to join their team. They are a great company to work for with a local reputation as an employer to work for as well as a superb brand of machines. As a Lead Design Engineer you will be responsible for taking ownership of design projects and mentoring junior engineers. Main Responsibilities Designing a range of machines from concept to completion Taking ownership of design projects Mentoring junior engineers R&D for new project/product ideas Research and keep up to date with new materials, parts and methods of deployment. To develop detailed engineering drawings for manufacturing, aligned to the companys production processes and machinery. Use CAD design software to create models and drawings of products. Organise and maintain engineering records. Ensure components and designs meet applicable industry and business standards. Liaise with manufacturing to ensure that products are manufactured according to the drawing and designs, and to provide design engineering advice as required. Essential Criteria Engineering / design qualification. 10 years design experience in heavy steel design In-depth knowledge of 2D AutoCAD & SolidWorks 3D CAD software. Knowledge of manufacturing processes. Impeccable attention to detail. Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve effectively.
