Due to our clients continued success, they have plans to expand their business and are now recruiting for a brand-new role to join their team. As H&S Manager, you will have a pivotal role in delivering and maintaining a robust HSE performance regime company wide.
Job Description
- Actively maintain management systems ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001
- Support the business through the completion of H&S questionnaires
- Creation of project specification Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
- Conducting risk evaluations and enforcing preventative measures
- Reviewing existing policies and measures and updating them according to legislation
- Initiating and managing health and safety procedures in the workplace
- Coordinating with HR to set up a framework for safety inductions and training for all employees
- Inspecting equipment and machinery to verify they meet safety regulations
- Managing and organising quality reports, statistical reviews, and relevant documentation
- Meeting company health and safety goals
- Investigating accidents or incidents to discover causes and manage worker's compensation claims
What you will need:
- NEBOSH general certification (additional NEBOSH construction bolt on)
- Auditing of ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001
- At least 5 years experience within a health & safety officer / manager role
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong team spirit and interpersonal skills
- Patience and the ability to work in high-pressure environments
- Research and analytic skills
- Demonstrates good influencing skills and has experience motivating stakeholders at all levels
