We are delighted to be working alongside a leading engineering company to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer at all levels from graduate to senior. Our client has grown from strength to strength over the past few years and is now looking to add to their design team due to company growth.
In this role you will work within multi-disciplined engineering teams to deliver innovative design solutions for new concepts and customisation of existing products for customers across the globe, ensuring delivery to cost, time, quality and adherence to regulations and suitability for manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out electrical design for projects.
- Supporting prototyping for new projects considering the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints.
- Creating relevant documentation, such as Test Plans and Reports for electrical testing.
- Supporting customer meetings as required.
- Providing end to end support on an electrical basis throughout the lifecycle of projects.
- Supporting change management through research, concepts, design reviews, trade studies, impact analysis and implementation.
What the successful candidate will have:
- Hold a relevant Degree/Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering or a minimum of 2 years working in an electrical engineering environment.
- Previous experience with one of the design software packages such as AutoCAD, Pro E, Solidworks, Eplan etc.
- Proficient with MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface with customers, manufacturing, suppliers and production.
- Results driven with a can-do attitude to ensure solutions.
