Our client, a leading electrical engineering company based in Armagh, is seeking to add an Electrical Design Engineer to their team due to the successful acquisition of new contracts. They are also open to Senior level depending on experience. This is an exciting time to join a growing business with innovation at the forefront of their values. The job role:

  • Responsible for the Electrical Design of products.
  • Assisting in all aspects of electrical design from site surveys of existing assets, optioneering, feasibility studies, detailed design, and tender pricing.
  • Producing Single Line Diagrams, Cable schedules, cable calculations, BOMS, Electrical Layouts.
  • Ensuring Design, Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability standards, policies, and procedures are always adhered to.
  • Knowledge & experience of current statutory and industrial standards.
  • Show an eagerness to learn and progress in your own career as well as mentoring and training more junior staff.
  • Project preparation of documentation for the testing, inspection, and commissioning of the electrical systems.
  • Focus on reducing cost and cycle time on current plant equipment and projects.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • A recognised degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
  • Ideally have 3 years plus experience in electrical design with knowledge working on Eplan.
  • Familiarity with health & safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
