Our client, a leading employer in the local area, are currently looking to recruit a Planner (Engineering) to join their team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role within the business ensuring customer orders are manufactured on time.
The Role
- Develop and maintain the production schedule for all products
- Communicate the production schedule through various departments in the business to ensure all products required are on site
- Monitor daily production outputs ensuring targets are being hit and investigate and resolve any issues that may arise
- Liaise with sales and procurement departments to improve forecast accuracy
- Implement control measures when required to prevent errors
- Coordinate workflow for the shop flow
- Produce reports detailing manufacturing and capacity requirements
- Planning for both short term and long-term projects within the business
Essential Criteria
- A minimum of 3 (+) years production planning experience within the engineering industry
- Ability to communicate with different departments
- An understanding of engineering processes
- Excellent IT skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage workload
- Previous experience in working with MRP/ERP systems
