Our client, a leading engineering company based in Co. Tyrone, who have undergone rapid growth over the past few years, are now seeking a new product design engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be heavily involved in new product design to help them grow their own range of new products as well as help design their current range. This role is perfect for a Design Engineer seeking to grow and progress their career at an enhanced rate and get involved in a variety of different projects.

Main Responsibilities:
- Complete product design improvements from concept, design, support, build and installation.
- Assist production with engineering support and guidance.
- Develop new products as well as improvements to the current product range.
- Generate detailed 3D models, drawings and BOMs for manufacturing.
- Liaise with R&D team in the creation/modification of parts and technical drawings.
- Work closely with the wider team in relation to new product development including management, marketing, and production.
- Work closely with Engineering team to design and document new conversions, develop new processes, update production build manuals, and carry out fault findings.
- Implementation of new technologies, manufacturing processes and materials.
- Sourcing and liaising with suppliers of purchased components.
- Follow engineering change control procedure where applicable.
The successful candidate must have:
- A Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline with 3 years plus related design/development work experience.
- Strong knowledge of 3D SolidWorks.
- Experience using Microsoft packages.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Team player.
