The role: Mechanical Estimator My client is seeking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our Commercial department. You will be a motivated and reliable individual who brings enthusiasm and positively to the team and you should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. This role can be based either in our Dungannon or Belfast Office, depending on experience and candidates location (travel may be required to our other offices from time to time). Key Responsibilities and Duties: Responsible for detailed mechanical take offs for a variety of projects from high level cost plans / budgets, design & build & fully designed. Taking tenders through from arrival in the company to the effective handover to our contracts team when the project is secured. Liaise and communicate with Sub-Contractors, Vendors and Suppliers to prepare tenders in a timely manner. Understand and analyse mechanical drawings and schematics to establish the right price. Take an active role in preparing commercial quantified schedules of rates / tender summary information. Identify valued engineering options and any risks during the tender bid period. Build relationships with our customers to promote repeat business. Excellent attention to detail & communication skills. Skills and Qualifications: Essential Time served plumber (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) or proven industry experience. Be able to demonstrate a comprehensive mechanical technical knowledge. Ability to multitask and work under pressure. Strong interpersonal and organisational skills. Excellent communication skills Self-motivated, with a can-do approach to work and willingness to learn and assist. Organised and disciplined in your planning an approach to work. Work well and confidently as part of a team in a busy environment. Skills and Qualifications: Desirable Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Proficient in Trimble (Amtech) Estimating Software or similar.
