Our client is currently looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will join a locally owned, successful business and be responsible for completing the day-to-day accounts duties.
The Role
- Completion of month end duties
- Assist the external accountant with year-end duties
- Processing invoices and dealing with enquiries
- Bank reconciliations
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Completing supplier payment runs
- Other relevant duties
Experience
- A minimum 2 years previous experience in a similar role
- Ability to manage and prioritize workload
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience in using Sage & Microsoft Excel
- A positive can-do attitude towards work
