Our client, a leading processing and manufacturing company, is in search of an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their highly reputable company. The successful candidate will receive a fantastic salary package with overtime rates paid at an advanced rate. Main Duties:
- Undertake electrical maintenance cover for production to ensure that breakdowns and other issues are resolved promptly, and downtime is minimised.
- Utilise system to ensure that all Active Maintenance work is logged, recorded and closed.
- Utilise the Maintenance Request Data Base to ensure that all Reactive Maintenance work is logged, recorded and closed.
- Undertake project work from installation to commissioning to ensure changes are implemented to the plan and refined if necessary.
- Provide technical support within the engineering department, to other operational departments and external contractors to ensure that the best solutions are identified and implemented.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings which drive departmental performance to support continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives.
- Follow all site rules relating to health & safety, environment and quality to ensure compliance with all legislation and internal procedures.
- Safe dismantling of machines, performing checks and assisting breakdowns.
- Conducting weekly energy readings and reporting back to management on any issues.
- Conduct daily risk assessments on workstations, machines and production floor and report any maintenance requirements in line with health and safety regulations.
Successful candidate must have:
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent, or strong experience.
- A recognised apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or experience, typically gained as an electrical engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience of fault diagnosis on PLCs.
