My client, a leading engineering company, due to continued growth and investment, is seeking a highly skilled CNC Setter to join their team.
The main responsibilities of this position are to program their CNC lathes, set up their machines, and grow the department.
Key Responsibilities:- Strong level of setting of multi-axis CNC lathes.
- Write, edit, and optimise CNC programs for new and existing projects.
- Oversee and perform routine machine and tool maintenance to minimise downtime and ensure equipment longevity.
- Ensure all components are deburred and finished to the required standards before moving to the next stage of production.
- Organise orders and streamline processes to ensure the most efficient output of parts.
- Actively support and implement lean manufacturing practices and continuous process improvements to reduce waste and increase output.
- 2+ years experience as a CNC Machinist (lathe).
- Confident setting and operating multi-axis machines.
- Experience working to engineering drawings.
- Ability to self-inspect using standard measurement tools.
