Are you an experienced supply chain professional currently considering a change of employment? Our client, a successful and growing business, who manufacture bespoke products are in search of an experienced Buyer to join their well-established team. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join a hugely successful business.
Main Responsibilities:
- Buying materials and parts required for the business
- Negotiating with suppliers agreeing prices and lead times
- Communicate with production team regarding their requirements
- Working to establish and develop a good supply chain
- Review upcoming projects and estimate future purchasing requirements
- Checking and verifying all the required specifications of products
- Proactively work on driving costs down on purchasing requirements
The successful candidate must have:
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a procurement role
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to manage and prioritise workload
- Confident can-do attitude towards work
- Understanding of procurement procedures
