Are you an experienced Buyer considering a change of employment? Our client is currently looking to recruit for a Buyer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to join a locally owned, growing manufacturing business and be responsible for ensuring purchasing requirements for the business are met and maintained.

The role:

  • Procurement of materials and parts required for the business
  • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve best possible prices and lead times
  • Ensure a continuous supply of parts and materials
  • Source new and alternative suppliers to build supplier network
  • Raising purchase orders and managing call off orders for long lead time items
  • Following up on late and overdue orders
  • Monitor and maintain company stock levels and adjust when required
  • Other relevant duties

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a purchasing role
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workload
  • Good communicator and positive can-do attitude
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
