Are you an experienced Buyer considering a change of employment? Our client is currently looking to recruit for a Buyer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to join a locally owned, growing manufacturing business and be responsible for ensuring purchasing requirements for the business are met and maintained.
The role:
- Procurement of materials and parts required for the business
- Negotiate with suppliers to achieve best possible prices and lead times
- Ensure a continuous supply of parts and materials
- Source new and alternative suppliers to build supplier network
- Raising purchase orders and managing call off orders for long lead time items
- Following up on late and overdue orders
- Monitor and maintain company stock levels and adjust when required
- Other relevant duties
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum 3 years experience in a purchasing role
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to manage and prioritise workload
- Good communicator and positive can-do attitude
- Excellent problem-solving skills
