Consults to a group of McOpCo restaurants, developing a team of Business Managers who nurture their people to consistently deliver outstanding QSC, maximising sales levels and optimising profit. Provides values‑based leadership, coaching, and strategic direction to assigned restaurants, maximizing long‑term sales and profit potential. Builds positive business relationships with Business Managers and restaurant management teams and authentic community‑based relationships to enhance trust in the brand. Consistently demonstrates McDonald’s values and leadership behaviours to role‑model excellence and build productive relationships with all stakeholders inside and outside the business.

Reporting & Stakeholder Relations

Report to the Director of Operations. Stakeholder groups span office and operations leadership teams, including Directors, Business Managers, Restaurant Management teams, external customers and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and support workforce planning and establishment numbers.
  • Collaborate with Directors and Business Managers to establish performance targets, conduct timely reviews, implement improvement plans and correct shortfalls.
  • Understand and implement HR policies, employment legislation, security and safety procedures, ensuring compliance at restaurant level.
  • Identify, nurture, and develop restaurant teams to ensure a talent pipeline of future leaders.
  • Engage with restaurant teams and provide a platform for listening to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
  • Ensure implementation of training and development systems across all restaurants.
  • Protect McDonald’s brand by ensuring restaurants meet QSC operational standards, food safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Proactively identify and address threats and barriers.
  • Observe restaurant operations, troubleshoot shift management, take corrective actions and recognize successes.
  • Complete restaurant‑based audits.
  • Ensure implementation of local and national promotions.
  • Coordinate the implementation and execution of new products and processes via NABIT bundles and updates.
  • Actively implement the Roadmap to Best Loved.
  • Complete announced and unannounced visits covering all dayparts.
  • Leverage leadership qualities within the consultant group.
  • Use information resources to identify opportunities and threats to optimise performance and adjust tactics accordingly.
  • Accept individual and team responsibility and accountability for actions and results.
  • Assist restaurant management teams by collecting and analysing daily, weekly, and monthly statistics; recommend appropriate remedial action.
  • Set and collect financial information and assist with monthly P&L statements, ensuring data is processed correctly and conforms to financial policies (e.g., expenses, petty cash, National Cash Policy).
  • Query and report discrepancies outside of financial policies.
  • Complete audits to ensure that restaurants meet operating standards and procedures.
  • Be curious about the overall strategy of the business and adapt it across the group of restaurants.
  • Inspire and strive to exceed goals, targets, and embrace change to capitalize on opportunities.
