This is a key customer-facing role in our restaurant. You will be the first person a customer sees when entering the store. Your smile and approachable body language set the tone for their experience. You should be well presented and ready to assist with customer queries. The role involves more than just cleaning tables and includes a range of duties to maintain a clean, welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Greeting customers and engaging in light conversations
- Smiling and presenting a friendly, professional image
- Creating a happy and safe environment
- Ensuring tables are cleaned and ready for customers
- Assisting and educating customers on how to use kiosks
- Taking food to customers’ tables when needed
- Interacting with children (e.g., handing out colouring sheets and crayons)
- Sweeping and mopping floors
- Emptying in-store and car park bins
- Maintaining cleanliness of toilets (including deep cleaning as required)
- Detailed cleaning on quieter days (e.g., cleaning under tables, scrubbing chairs and legs)
- Dusting and general tidying
- Engaging with customers about restaurant surveys and offers to help identify areas for improvement
- Assisting staff with taking orders on tills
- Assembling food when requested during busier periods
- Setting up or taking part in charity events with the team
- Selling raffle tickets and participating in events (e.g., Easter, Halloween, Christmas dress-up)
Qualifications and Requirements
