Join McDonald’s UK & Ireland at an exciting time of growth and innovation within our Running Great Restaurants Technology (RGRT) team. As a Supplier Consultant, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how we partner with local technology suppliers—driving performance, strengthening relationships, and ensuring our restaurants benefit from reliable, high‑quality and resilient technology. This isn’t simply about managing delivery. You’ll help suppliers focus on the outcomes that truly matter, champion innovation, and foster a culture of continuous improvement that directly supports our Technology strategy. You’ll also help evolve our supplier management approach, ensuring clear governance, positive ways of working, and a shared commitment to exceptional service for our restaurants and Franchisees. Duties
- Leadership & Team Development: Create a positive, high‑performing environment within the RGRT team, role‑modelling behaviours that reflect our values and ways of working. Coach and mentor team members, shaping development goals and supporting career growth.
- Supplier Partnership & Performance: Build clear expectations with technology partners, working collaboratively to deliver excellent service, effective change and ongoing improvement. Lead structured governance sessions using balanced scorecards to assess performance, demonstrate value and agree improvement actions. Encourage innovation and enable new ideas that enhance quality, stability and operational performance. Monitor and track supplier product performance across live services, ensuring resilience and continuous improvement.
- Commercial & Operational Alignment: Partner closely with Contracts & Commercial to ensure agreements are robust, well‑governed and regularly reviewed—including continuity, cyber security and change controls. Work with Service Operations to understand performance trends and use insights to guide improvement activity. Use supplier relationships, contracts and governance to drive meaningful transformation for restaurants and Franchisees.
- Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement: Lead subject‑matter experts to identify root causes of recurring issues and drive long‑term solutions. Support improvements that strengthen restaurant operations and enhance the overall technology ecosystem.

Essential Requirements:
- Experience working with external partners or suppliers to set expectations, improve performance and deliver positive outcomes; experience with technology suppliers is helpful but not essential.
- An understanding of how product roadmaps and priorities are shaped, or a willingness to learn and contribute.
- Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders internally and externally.
- A technical or operational background is helpful but not required.
- Experience or familiarity with supplier/vendor management frameworks, supporting governance, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to build trust, influence outcomes and work effectively across varied stakeholder groups.
- The ability to build collaborative, respectful relationships with suppliers, Franchisees and internal partners—balancing challenge with partnership.
- Skills or capability in areas such as planning, governance, communication and financial awareness, alongside a passion for developing and supporting others.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities, suppliers or workstreams simultaneously, with strong organisational skills and the ability to deliver to agreed timelines.
- Exposure to commercial discussions, contracts or tender activity is advantageous, with opportunities to develop further.
- Above all, a natural relationship builder who communicates clearly, listens well and guides supplier relationships in a constructive, positive direction.
