This role is one of the most important roles we have for our store. The early starts you are committed to attend is for one who does not mind sleeping early and getting up early especially on these cold days. You will be given the correct uniform for this role to keep you safe and warm. This would include high visibility vests to be seen on the car parks, gloves and cosy hats. You would need to ensure you have safety boots to protect your feet.
This role would require you to have a good prep before the McDonald's delivery truck comes ready to unload. You would need to push cages from the truck to the stock rooms, unload cages, the cages are heavy and some boxes will be needed to pick up one at a time. All stock must be checked for the following: quantities, temperatures, and any damages. Once all checked you must unload all stock and put away in the designated areas we have, e.g. frozen in the freezer, chilled in the fridges and dry stock in the stock rooms. We do operate a first in first out stock rotation. Any shortages on the store floor must be stocked too. All empty cardboard boxes must be broken down and put into cages ready to be recycled.
Additional duties will include the following:
- Emptying bins
- Compacting rubbish (loading machines - rubbish will be crushed to save space in larger bins)
- Cleaning any spillages outside the store
- Jet washing the yard
- General cleaning of the area you are working
This is a manual job, lots of safe lifting and carrying. If you do not mind the hard graft this is the job for you!
