The Role

Job Title – Overnight Shift Manager

Pay - £15 per hour

Location – Ingleby Road, Bradford

Our Overnight Shift Managers keep everything running smoothly and lead from the front. We’re looking for people who enjoy working fast and have strong leadership capabilities, with a can-do attitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coach overnight crew members
  • Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are maintained
  • Oversee cash management, nightly reports, and inventory tasks
  • Maintain a safe, welcoming, and efficient environment for customers and staff
  • Prepare the restaurant for the morning shift (handover, restocking, cleaning)
  • Handle customer concerns with professionalism and urgency
  • Lead by example with McDonald’s core values and service standards

Personal Specification

  • Experience in a supervisory or team leader role (preferably in hospitality or retail)
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure
  • Comfortable working night shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
  • Full time and fully flexible shift work pattern required.

Two Stage Interview Process

  • Stage 1 – Interview with Tom (Learning and Development Manager) followed by a tour of the kitchen.
  • Stage 2 – 1 hour shoulder-to-shoulder session with a current shift manager where you will see what it takes to be a shift manager, manage others, carry out operational checks. This will be followed by meeting Zahid (Operations Manager) where you can discuss the role in more detail.
