What does a day as a Maintenance Person look like?

As a Maintenance Person, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of the restaurant, covering a varied scope of responsibilities across the site, ensuring the restaurant is set up for success to deliver a great customer experience. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Inspecting the restaurant’s interior and exterior to ensure all areas meet McDonald’s high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
  • Carrying out a variety of maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, varnishing, and minor non-electrical equipment repairs.
  • Maintaining and monitoring parking facilities to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for customers and crew.
  • Organising, receiving, and rotating food deliveries to support freshness and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborating with the restaurant management team to identify and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
  • Coordinating with external contractors to ensure timely repairs with minimal disruption to restaurant operations.
  • Supporting the overall functionality of the restaurant by keeping equipment and facilities in prime working condition.
  • Completing tasks in line with training and company guidelines.
  • Following all workplace safety, hygiene and operational procedures.
  • Treating customers and colleagues with courtesy and respect.
  • Working as a supportive team member and contributing to a positive environment.

As a key part of the restaurant team, you will work as a supportive colleague and demonstrate a high level of enthusiasm for the standards in all areas of the restaurant inside and out. We’re looking for individuals who are:
