On the Shift Leader Development programme you will accomplish all shift work requirements by orienting, assisting and coaching employees. You will ensure all standards are met by following production, productivity, quality and customer service standards. As a shift manager, you will be monitoring operations, reallocating resources and solving operational problems.
You will be working within a £multi-million restaurant and managing a team of 100 or more employees. You will be part of the management team that will drive your restaurant forward by building sales, growing profitability and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
This position is open to people who have experience of managing and leading teams within the retail, hospitality, business or a customer-focused environment. Additionally, this role is restaurant-based and involves working able shift patterns including working weekends and bank holidays.

This is a training position designed to develop you into a Shift Manager through a structured six-month development programme. You will receive hands-on training alongside experienced managers, supported by in-store learning, external training days, formal courses, and regular check-ins with the senior management team.
At McDonald’s, we take pride in investing in our people. As an employee, you will also have the opportunity to further develop your skills through our apprenticeship programmes, including the Level 3 Hospitality Supervisor Apprenticeship and the Level 4 Hospitality Manager Apprenticeship.
The starting hourly rateOnce fully trained and qualified your hourly rate of pay will increase to £14. Hours worked between 12am-6am receive an additional £2 per hour.
Position AttributesYou will work a variety of day parts, including breakfast, evenings and overnights (if trading 24hrs) to become accustomed to shift work and experienced in all aspects of the business.
