The Opportunity
In this exciting opportunity you will be part of a team accountable for the smooth and frequent deployment of a range of our restaurant and digital platforms. You will play a key role in preparing platforms for deployment through configuration and setup activities, ensuring restaurants and systems are correctly configured to support stable releases.
Duties
- Support the planning and sequencing of deployment activities, with a primary focus on platform configuration and setup ahead of deployment.
- Accountable for deployment readiness, ensuring required pre‑deployment checks are completed and that restaurants and partners are correctly configured prior to deployment.
- Responsible for configuring and setting up platforms and deployment tools ahead of deployment commencing, including working with the Test function to validate configurations and resolve configuration‑related issues.
- Work closely with the Asset & Configuration team to ensure restaurants are appropriately configured for new software deployments and that required configuration changes are implemented accurately.
- Contribute to relevant multi‑functional team meetings, providing input on configuration status, readiness risks, and dependencies.
- Support deployment quality ahead of deployment commencing, ensuring configuration‑related readiness issues are identified and addressed in collaboration with the Quality and Deployment Lead and team.
- Measure and report on configuration and readiness status, raising exceptions and working with other analysts or the Asset & Configuration team to reduce deployment‑related incidents.
- Provide feedback on deployment stability from a configuration and readiness perspective, working closely with Product Owners, the Quality team, and suppliers to ensure appropriate levels of quality are achieved prior to deployment.
Qualifications
An individual who understands the importance of working collaboratively across the business, with excellent curiosity and communication skills, will do well in this role. Strong attention to detail, an analytical approach, and the ability to quickly identify configuration and dependency issues will be critical to success. An individual fulfilling this role will be passionate about and demonstrate success in:
- Previous deployment experience with a sound understanding of software deployment and the software development lifecycle.
- Experience working with configuration led platforms or systems to support deployment and testing activities.
- Proven success in supporting and planning regular software releases across a large or complex environment.
- Strong communication skills, including written and verbal communication, to clearly convey configuration status and deployment readiness.
- Exceptional organisational skills, with experience in dependency management and configuration management.
- Experience working within project delivery methodologies and ways of working (Agile or Waterfall).
- Strong computer literacy, with experience using tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Jira, and Confluence to support deployment and configuration activities.
- Comfort and experience working in a fast paced and changing environment, adapting configuration approaches as required.
- Experience identifying and applying external best practices to improve deployment readiness and configuration quality.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and curiosity to explore new and improved ways of working.
- Demonstrated ownership mindset and a desire to continuously develop technical and deployment capability.
- A focus on continual improvement, supporting smoother and more reliable deployments through effective configuration and preparation.
