Job Description
We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Commercial Assistant to join our National Operations Commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about financial accuracy, supplier relationships, and continuous improvement.
You’ll play a key role in supporting financial transactions and commercial processes across a diverse portfolio of suppliers and service partners. If you’re highly numerate, organised, and eager to grow your skills – especially in data analysis and reporting, this role is for you.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Managing day-to-day financial transactions, including supplier payments and store recharges
- Administering monthly ‘Application to Pay’ processes
- Reconciling departmental accounts and providing monthly updates to senior stakeholders
- Verifying supplier charges and ensuring rebates are received
- Generating monthly store journals and maintaining financial records
- Conducting audits and bi-annual reviews of service charges
- Supporting commercial negotiations with analytical insights
- Maintaining databases and financial trackers
- Assisting with Capital Investment administration
- Contributing to reporting and insights using tools like Excel and Python
Qualifications

- Advanced Excel skills; experience with Smartsheet is highly desirable
- Familiarity with Python or a keen interest in developing automation and analytical tools
