Job Description

Deliver and execute the Company’s ambitious new restaurant opening programme on a regional basis. Responsibility for the Regional Acquisitions team, with direct management of 4 Senior Acquisitions Surveyors.

What team will I be part of?

You will be a part of the real estate department and will lead the northern acquisitions team.

  • Retained agents, external suppliers, consultants and contractors.
  • In house legal team

What will my key accountabilities be?

  • Implement the acquisition plan across Drive Thru and Instore locations.
  • Building a strong pipeline of new restaurants to drive the next 3 years growth and beyond.
  • Deliver stores in line with expected sales and ROI.
  • Work closely with the Construction and Finance teams.
  • Managing legal negotiations with external solicitors and dealing with planning and licensing and appropriate authorities ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Management of Acquisitions Surveyors including personal development, training, talent management and succession planning.
  • Interface closely with the Operations functions for both Franchising and McOpCo to ensure alignment on new restaurant openings locations, sales, impact and relocations and closures.
  • Externally and internally promotes the reputation of the department and the business working closely with the internal Communications team.
  • Manage the new store approval process – Reports prepared and presented to the Exec team for sign off.
  • Work alongside Construction team to ensure delivery of high quality, cost effective restaurants.

  • Team orientated, strategic thinker & leader with an excellent geographical knowledge of the United Kingdom and Ireland.
  • Track record of building a real estate pipeline and leading a multi site roll out programme.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Projects a professional and highly credible image.
  • Capable of representing the Development Team with all levels of management.
  • Delivers, sets plans and keeps stakeholders informed of progress and status.
  • Excellent prioritisation and personal management skills.
  • Efficient and productive.
  • Recognises the need to get involved in detail from time-to-time, but always maintains a higher management perspective in addition.
  • Adaptable, with desire and capacity to rapidly acquire new knowledge.
