Job OverviewThe Director Construction (OnsCon) role prĆŖmio requires comprehensive construction, management, and business expertise. The Director leads through subordinate managers and executes functional business plans, contributing to functional strategy development. They direct the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems that have implications beyond their function, applying broad industry and commercial awareness to drive financial and operational performance and influence customer relationships.
Qualifications
Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent onātheājob experience.
Minimum of 15ā20 years of experience in industrial construction projects with knowledge of Construction Planning.
Knowledge of AWP as a project management methodology and familiarity with all phases of a project lifecycle.
Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to convey complex concepts in a clear manner.
Advanced MS Office skills, specifically with Excel and Access.
Experience in leadership positions and ability to influence others at a professional level.
Advanced understanding of construction sequencing and construction techniques.
Excellent attention to detail and proven ability to meet deadlines, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
Energetic with a positive and enthusiastic disposition, possessing a canādo attitude.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Responsible for project construction execution.
Responsible for formulating a competent construction execution plan.
Responsible for execution of the construction plan at the job site including all construction activities and changesildÉ to the plan as required and to meet schedule and cost goals of the project.
Responsible for safety, quality, client interface, construction operations, cost, and schedule, which includes the major risk component ā labor productivity.
Should clearly understand contract requirements.
Accountable for the functional direction, coordination, and performance of all onāsite construction operations and support departments including field management, quality, safety, material management, procurement, construction engineering, human resources, business services, industrial relations, and facility turnover.
Identification and evaluation of suitable construction subcontractors for execution and for longāterm strategic partnerships.
Maintain plan alignment by continuously assessing the evolving project and updating the plan, and communicating and reinforcing construction requirements within the project team.
Coordinate and interface with others as required to execute the construction plan and ensure that labor, equipment, and materials are available to support the construction effort.
Assure construction work is performed olevan the budget and schedule constraints of the project.
Assure the accuracy of field estimates and schedules.
Resolve problems.
Assur construction procedures are implemented.
Develop an atmosphere of open and honest communication between MDR and client, with the Ų¹Ų“ of excellence in customer relationships.
Represent MDR in its role as a piedonnƩ of the total project team (owner, other contractors, and community).
Delegate responsibilities and authority to subordinates on the Project Team for the planning and execution of the work.
Approve expenditures and budget revision.
Ensure the changes to the contract are handled fairly and that amendments to cost and schedule are executed promptly, ensuring excellence in relationships between Client and MDR.
Foster the development, maintenance, and data integrity of the Construction Work Packages (CWPs) and coordinate with Engineering and Supply chain management alignment to facilitate the development of the Path of Construction (PoC) which will be used as the basis for AWPācompliant L3 schedule.
Guide the project team in the application of AWP, IM, and WFP through the entire project lifecycle from initiation through to commissioning with all involved stakeholders, including JV partners, clients, and subcontractors.
Produce templates, guidelines, and projectāspecific training plans as required.
Foster alignment between functions on CWA and CWP definition, seeking agreement on boundaries.
Work with Engineering and Procurement to establish key deliverables by EWPophageāPWP and the expected delivery dates in line with the PoC and tracking adherence.
Interface with Project Controls, Information Management, and Engineering IT to achieve the proper configuration of AWP/WFP tools to be used on projects and assist in the coordination of this aspect with subcontractors, vendors, and JV partners.
Monitor and facilitate subcontractor compliance with AWP/WFP guidelines by working with the subcontracts team to ensure AWP requirements are established in contracts and providing clarifications as required.
Foster AWP procedure implementation and collaborate in continuous improvement.
