Groundworks/Telehandler

Full-Time No home office possible

At McDermotts, we\’re seeking an experienced Groundworker/Telehandler to join our dynamic civil engineering team, specialising in groundworks and Tele handling.

Main Responsibilities

· Operate Telehandler Equipment Safely:
Use the telescopic handler to lift, move, and place materials such as pallets, bricks, blocks, steelwork, and other loads to designated areas on site.

· Load and Unload Materials:
Load and unload materials from delivery vehicles, ensuring safe handling and correct stacking or placement.

· Transport Materials Across Site:
Move materials to support trades and site operations efficiently, following the direction of the Site Manager or Supervisor.

· Site Preparation:
Clear and prepare the site before construction begins, including removing debris, vegetation, and topsoil as required.

· Excavation and Trenching:
Carry out digging and trenching for foundations, drainage systems, and utility services, ensuring work is completed to the correct depth, line, and level.

· Laying Foundations:
Assist in setting out and laying concrete foundations, footings, and bases for structures and other site works.

· Drainage Installation:
Install and connect drainage systems such as pipes, manholes, and gullies, ensuring proper fall and alignment.

· CSCS Blue Card

· CPCS Card/Telehandler
