At McDermotts, we’re seeking an experienced Engineering/Surveyor to join our dynamic civil engineering team, specialising in groundworks and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Engineering within the construction sector, with proven experience working with CAD & GPS systems.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist with engineering surveying activities on a variety of construction and infrastructure projects.
- Learn and develop proficiency in 3D modelling and digital construction workflows.
- Support the setup, calibration, and operation of GPS/GNSS surveying equipment.
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of site control networks and survey control systems.
- Learn the setup, configuration, and management of machine control systems for construction plant.
- Process survey information and assist in the production of survey deliverables.
- Maintain accurate survey records and documentation.
Requirements:
- Strong CAD skills and presentation.
- Substantial knowledge of Total stations.
- Prior knowledge of GPS systems.
- Strong communication skills and working as part of a team.
- Microsoft suite and report writing.
Desirable:
- Substantial knowledge of GPS systems.
- Prior knowledge of construction machine control.
- Prior knowledge of 3D modelling and or modelling software.
